Mr. Cooper Self Driving Car Rentals is operated by Cooper Drive Tech. We provide self-drive car rental bookings, customer support, vehicle handover coordination, payment-link support, and related services in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly through the website, phone, WhatsApp, email, payment links, forms, and support interactions.

• Name, phone number, email address, pickup and drop-off date/time, selected vehicle, duration, notes, and booking preferences.
• Driving licence details, Aadhaar or identity proof details, address proof, and other KYC or eligibility information requested before handover.
• Payment status, transaction reference, payment-link status, invoice or refund details, and security deposit information.
• Vehicle handover records such as condition photos, videos, kilometre reading, fuel level, accessories, damage notes, and return inspection details.
• Support messages, call notes, complaint details, feedback, and any documents or images you voluntarily share with us.

Automatic and technical information

When you use the website, we may collect basic technical information such as browser type, device type, IP address, pages visited, referral source, approximate location from browser permissions, and form analytics used to protect the website from spam or misuse.

How we use information

We use customer information to operate and improve the rental service, verify eligibility, prevent misuse, protect vehicles, support customers, and comply with business and legal obligations.

• Respond to enquiries and confirm booking requests.
• Verify driving eligibility, identity, address, and handover requirements.
• Calculate tariffs, included kilometres, payment links, deposits, refunds, deductions, and invoices.
• Coordinate pickup, return, extensions, breakdown support, damage checks, traffic challans, tolls, and customer service.
• Send booking updates, policy notices, payment reminders, support messages, and service communication.
• Detect spam, fraud, unauthorised use, duplicate bookings, suspicious activity, or policy violations.

Payment information

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as Razorpay. We do not intentionally store full card numbers, UPI PINs, net-banking credentials, or other sensitive payment authentication details on our website. Payment providers may process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

Sharing of information

We do not sell customer personal information. We may share limited information where needed to operate bookings, receive payments, provide support, protect vehicles, or comply with law.

• Payment gateways, banks, messaging providers, email providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, and support tools.
• Vehicle owners, fleet partners, service centres, towing or roadside-assistance providers, insurers, legal advisors, accountants, auditors, and recovery partners where relevant to a booking.
• Government authorities, law enforcement, courts, transport departments, toll or traffic authorities, or regulators when required or when needed to protect rights, safety, vehicles, or customers.

Data retention

We retain booking, KYC, payment, support, inspection, dispute, challan, and accounting records for as long as reasonably needed for rental operations, refunds, safety, fraud prevention, legal claims, tax, audit, compliance, and dispute handling.

Some information may be retained even after a deletion request where retention is required or permitted for business, legal, tax, vehicle safety, fraud prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards to protect customer information. No website, network, device, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so customers should avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information through unsecured channels.

Your choices and requests

You may contact us to request correction, access, update, deletion, or clarification about your information. Send requests to bookings@mrcoopercars.com with the phone number or booking reference used for the booking so we can verify the request.

Children

Our self-drive rental service is intended for adults who are legally eligible to enter rental arrangements and drive. We do not knowingly collect booking KYC information from children.
